frosty

Sorry for the lack of updates lately - I've got exams in January so I'm doing a lot of prep and revision at the minute! Thought I'd show you a few photographs I've taken for my photography A level...

scarborough 2011

My favourite thing to do ever is get old disposable cameras developed yonks after I've taken the pictures. These are from summer last year when I went on a day trip to Scarborough with my sister and my papa. I can't quite remember, but I think they were taken on a Kodak film camera which I got from a gift shop for about £1 cause it was out of date. I loveeee shooting in film, despite the hassle and the lack of certainty that comes with it. Film pictures are so much prettier than digital photographs. Anyway, enjoy these photos!

P.S. I'm almost at 1000 pageviews! Thank you so much to all of my followers/readers and everyone else for helping me to reach this! Hopefully it is the first of many thousands...x

france/switzerland/germany

My auntie moved to Blotzheim, a little village on the border of France and Switzerland, at the beginning of this year, so it meant one thing for my family: a holiday to visit her! We took the Euro Tunnel and drove through France, stopping off in Paris along the way, and got to visit Switzerland and Germany, too. I had a lovely time, as did the rest of my family, and I've got a few (okay, a LOT!) pictures to show you.

♥ Paris

I'm sorry... I just had to!

Somebody was making money out of a rabbit. A*.

♥ Basel - Switzerland

My lovely stepfather and mother - thank you for an amazing holiday!

♥ Black Forest - Germany

My beautiful family
We actually went swimming in this lake - something which I'm proud of because I'm terrified of open water! Although I did decide on an early exit because I saw a big fish and it gave me the heebie jeebies...

I had such a lovely time, and I am so, so thankful for having an amazing family willing to take us away. Thank you for the best week! Did you go on holiday this summer?

grandad's house

I took all of these photographs as a part of my photography exam, titled "domestic". I am extremely inspired by the documentary photographer, Martin Parr, so I wanted to emulate his work in my own way. This shoot was based on families in domestic environments, and I feel as though I have captured the relationship of my grandad and I well. Fingers crossed that I achieve a good grade, as I feel as though all of my other shoots for the exam are fairly bad compared to this.
